Young Messengers

PROJECTS WITH THE INTERLAKEN HIGH SCHOOL

With concert introductions, blogs, radio and newspaper articles, the pupils of the Interlaken high school want to bring classical music closer to a wider audience in different ways.

Note for 2022: due to the current situation, the projects are on hold this year.

YOUNG MESSENGER

Pupils from the Interlaken high school form the project group Interlaken Classics Young Messengers (ICYM for short) and research behind the scenes of the festival.

The project includes the development of regular blog posts and short print articles. The reporting extends over two weeks, with the high school students regularly providing background reports, interviews, news. ect and hand them over to the relevant editors for further processing. The online and print contributions work together with the regional newspapers.
The aim is to give readers and listeners an exciting and unusual perspective on the residency of the Zakhar Bron Festival Orchestra - from the point of view of committed young people. The recipients of the relevant media should find out in an original way what it takes to organize and carry out concerts and tours at the highest level and in the best quality - and who is pulling the strings in the background.

The reporting is intended to arouse general interest in the Interlaken Classics, especially among the younger segment. The youthful dynamism and light-heartedness of the high school students should also flow into the end products.

LOGISTICS

The high school students don't just get the Interlaken Classics rolling with their reports and blogs. They are important helpers at the concerts, where they take on areas of responsibility such as checking tickets, handing out flowers and seat assignments. In this way, the students contribute to the festival being able to keep to its schedule. The students were divided into groups and assigned to the fourteen performances.
