Zakhar Bron Festival Orchestra

Our own festival orchestra: the Zakhar Bron Festival Orchestra

The Orchestra of Soloists!

The legendary Russian musician and educator Zakhar Bron regularly unites his most talented young musicians to form a unique ensemble, the Zakhar Bron Chamber Orchestra. A fusion of perfection, dedication, and passion. This top-class string orchestra is augmented with approximately 20 wind players specifically for Interlaken Classics. These more than 50 young musicians comprise the Zakhar Bron Festival Orchestra!

Great young talents from around the world, already well into their solo careers, unite in a string orchestra of the highest caliber: Most of the musicians in the Zakhar Bron Chamber Orchestra are winners of international competitions. Many in the orchestra have the opportunity to play very valuable instruments due to their previous successes and competition prizes, which is unique for such a young orchestra.

In 2015, the orchestra made its debut at the Berlin Philharmonie, the Cologne Philharmonie, and the Concertgebouw Amsterdam. In Interlaken, the orchestra played with famous artists such as Sabine Meyer, David Garrett, Alice Sara Ott, Daniel Hope, Natalia Gutman, David Geringas, Maxim Vengerov, Mischa Maisky, Konstantin Lifschitz or Vadim Repin.
